Where it began

A seven-year-old at the keys.

Leland started playing piano at age seven in the Pacific Northwest — not because anyone pushed him, but because he couldn't stay away from the instrument. His first videos went up on YouTube in November 2022: just a kid, a piano, and the joy of figuring out what his hands could do.

Why music

More than notes on a page.

Today Leland plays piano and violin, writes original compositions, and produces his own recordings. Music is how he expresses what words can't — whether it's a cinematic remix, a daily original song, or a quiet arrangement for someone he loves.

The journey

From living room to concert hall.

At eight, Leland was featured on KOMO News in Seattle and wrote his signature piece, "A Spark in the Dark." At nine, he performed that composition live with Symphony Tacoma — a professional orchestra backing a kid who had only been playing a few years. Every milestone since has been real, recorded, and shared openly.

What music should do

Inspire. Connect. Point upward.

Leland believes music is a gift — not a performance for its own sake, but something that should lift people, stir emotion, and bring them together. From sharing music with other young musicians to collaborating with family, the goal is always the same: make something honest that moves someone.

Why he performs

Because music is meant to be shared.

From piano-and-sax duets to six-hands performances and community events, Leland performs because he wants people to feel something real. No filters on the passion — just a young musician putting in the work, night after night, and inviting you to listen.
